Alex Bowerman graduated from William Floyd High School in Mastic Beach, New York. While at Floyd, Alex competed on the Mock Trial team, winning four Suffolk County Championships, three Long Island Championships and two New York State Championships in his four years on the team. This experience gave Alex the skills and the motivation to make it onto Cornell Mock Trial.
Now in his third year on the team and second year as President, Alex has two priorities before graduation: 1) to make Cornell the top team in the nation and 2) to make Cornell Mock Trial one of the best student organizations on campus. With the support of talented coaches, both goals are taking shape. Cornell now has three All-Americans on the Team, including Alex, as well as two National Tournament Victories to date, and only has a handful of teams standing in the way to the National Championship. And, with more talent, numbers, funds, and leadership coming into the organization each year, Alex hopes to turn the team's recent achievements into the norm for Cornell Mock Trial.
